Guilin TEDQUAL: an international quality model for tourism education

The challenge

UNWTO ST-EP programme with the Guilin Institute of Tourism (2006–10). Guilin sought to raise its tourism and hotel management education to international standards and become a regional centre of excellence.

What I did

Led design and management of the TEDQUAL quality programme across curriculum and teaching practice. Coordinated international experts and partner institutions. Supported a published research article arising from the project (per Prof Adele Ladkin's reference).

Outcome

UNWTO described it as "one of the UNWTO's most ambitious and successful projects."
